Tonight we headed to Weslaco to see the Christmas Parade. Jack found a great place to park the bus right near the parade. We were a small but happy group when we arrived at the parade route.
Lee Benfield, Marvin and Della Orndorff and Jennifer Williams
Richard Beall and Donna Jenkins and Martie and Mike Senkler
Patti Schoolcraft and Charles and Jane Palmer
Mary and Lee Benfield
Jennifer Williams and Jack Hulsey
Once the parade started, it started to drizzle, however, we all had dressed for the weather and it wasn't the least bit cold so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Jack was the only one who went back to the bus to stay dry! He went in when the drizzle was almost rain and came out when it died down. It changed all through the parade! There were lots of umbrellas along the route!
The theme for this year's parade was "A Merry FROZEN Christmas". Most of the floats had the movie "Frozen" theme and we listened to "Let It Go" and "Do You Want To Build A Snowman" over and over again! It was almost like visiting our grandchildren this past summer when we watched the movie over and over and listened to them singing the song constantly. They are definitely catchy tunes!
There were lots of huge semis in the parade and you have to wonder where they all came from.
Then the Stretch Limos arrived on the scene. There was even a RV Limo in the parade.
Jingle Bells
Do you Want to Build a Snowman!
The parade ended as it started with lots of horns and sirens pronouncing the beginning and end of the parade.
