What's New, October 19, 2011

The activity office is cruising along getting the season ready for every one's return.

As of last week we had 105 residents - with more arriving daily.

Some of the things that are happening now:

• Friendship Hall - The bulletin boards are painted and updated with new headings.  The church bulletin board was moved to the church wall for easy access for church members.  The picture of the choir has been hung above the bulletin board.
• Vets Wall - We have the MIA/POW flag and the Canadian Military flag hanging with the American Military flags.  Also, the Veterans picture taken at the Veterans celebration is hanging next to the Vets wall.
• Exercise Room - The exercise room is freshly painted and the exercise equipment will be delivered on Friday, October 22, 2011.  The TV is mounted on the wall for viewing while you're working out.
• Kitchen - The kitchen has been painted and the sinks are in the proper place.  We acquired a 6' gas griddle.  It is up and running, ready for our first breakfast.   Though it isn't an electric one, it was free.  We will re-evaluate the griddle to see how our cooks like it mid-season.  A new disposal was installed also.

We have our Halloween party coming up on Monday, Oct 31.  It is a whole day get-to-gather.  We are starting out with a mixed scramble, then bean-bag baseball, followed with a cookout and parade.  A dance will end the evening.  Hope you will be here and in costume.
