HO HO HO!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We all had a wonderful time at the Christmas Party today. Our Activity Directors arranged to have soup served to the crowd and the rest of us brought either a salad or dessert. There was certainly enough to go around. We had entertainment too!

Then Karen Timko and Lee Clement (alias Mrs. and Mr. Santa Claus) did a really funny skit. Santa was trying to leave for his yearly toy delivery on Christmas and Mrs. Claus was so upset with him that he almost didn't get to delivery his gifts. They worked it all out in the end!

A great job was done by all and was much appreciated by the crowd!
Next on the agenda was the soup, salad and dessert potluck. As you can see, we didn't lack for salads or desserts!

After everyone was stuffed, it was time to see who the winners were in the Christmas Lighting Contest.

Ron and Linda Doerschug were the winners in the Making Spirits Bright category. They were awarded a hand-made magnifying glass donated by the Wood Shop.

Larry and Dody Anenson won the award in the Silent Night, Holy Night category. They were awarded a beautiful stained glass donated by the Stained Glass Group.

Nora and Charlie Minor won the award in the Charlie Browniest category. They were awarded their choice of a hand-painted Santa or a turkey donated by the Art Group.

Don and Brenda Granger won the Clark Griswold Award. They were awarded a Quilt from the Quilting Group.
Darrel and Betty Luster who weren't present won the Martha Stewart Would Be Proud Award. They were awarded a beautiful wreath made by Rita Huether.
Thanks to every one who participated in the Christmas Lighting Contest! It is wonderful to see all the festive spirit at the Ranch! Lynn and JD awarded $75 for a block party to the block that had the most lights. Bunkhouse Way won that honor again this year and Lynn challenged the other blocks in the park to give them a run for their money next year. She said they voted her block the Scroogiest because they had the least percentage of sites lit this year!
Then it was time for the gifts to be handed out to those who decided to participate in it.
